From examining premature infants in the NICU, to performing donor corneal transplants and all eye care needs ! in between, we provide our patients and their families with caring physicians and staff using the latest technology to help diagnose and treat their condition.
Medical Insurance Appeals Coordinator
In this highly diligent and multi-tasking role, you will be responsible the following duties: Monitor and appeal Medicare and insurance claims EDI Submissions Assure that responses and appeal resolutions time frames meet specific client performance guarantees Analyze, research and resolve appeal requests through review of benefit design, eligibility, care management procedures and claims payments as they relate to the identified issues Communicate with appropriate departments to assure accurate and complete research Communicate in writing with appropriate parties regarding appeals and grievance decisions Coordinate the grievance process and communicate the issues and implications Produce and distribute monthly internal reports and other state reports Post line i! tems, payment and adjustments to patients accounts quickly and! accurately Responsible for secondary claims Account Receivables Confer with patients by telephone or in person in attempt to answer any patient questions regarding their account Assist personnel with billing questions
Please note: a background check will be run on candidate prior to hire. High School diploma 2 years healthcare insurance claims/medical office experience Provider experience preferred Familiarity with medical terminology Knowledge of insurances, understanding EOBs and contract payers Knowledge of CPT, ICD9, Medicare, Medicaid, PPOs, HMOs and guidelines Computer experience Ophthalmology experience preferred
