Coordinates all activities in the ED. The RN promotes the hospital's mission and vision by assis! ting in the creation of an environment of teamwork and excellence in meeting the healthcare needs of the community. Reports to the Director of Critical Care.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduate of an accredited school professional nursing BSN preferred. Experience and Qualifications: Minimum of 2 year prior experience as an RN in a hospital/surgery center Previous ED RN experience preferred Excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills Demonstrate emotional maturity and ability to function effectively when under stress Organizational and prioritizing skills are essential Licenses/Certificates: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas Current certification in BLS/ACLS . Current certification of PALS must be submitted on hire or obtained within 90 days of employment. CEN certification preferred. Must complete/maintain required annual competencies per hospital policy.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the de! livery of patient care in the ED 2. Delegate assignments and o! versee care provided by non-licensed members of the healthcare team. 3. Is cognizant of and maintains appropriate standards of infection control, safety and quality in the provision of patient care 4.
