The Wildlife Care Specialist II will p rovide primary care and rehabilitation to raptors, shorebirds, sea turtles, and marine mammals as well as participate in the medical care, conditioning and final disposition of rehabilitation patients. They will participate in the daily opening and closing procedures, maintenance of the rehabilitation areas, and feeding the patients. The specialist will be able to admit and assess rehabilitation patients and participate in veterinary medical care including anesthesia, wound management, medication administration, and surgery.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field from a four-year college or university is required with a minimum of one year related experience and/or training. An equivalent combination of education or experience may also meet the required qualifications.
