Job Summary
We are offering a position for a veterinary assistant. This person is responsible for educating and serving clients, assisting veterinarians with physical examinations of pets, and assisting in surgeries and dental cleanings. This position requires a practical knowledge of basic rules and regulations governing visitors and animal patient treatment, and a practical knowledge of the standard procedures, veterinary records and terminology.
Responsibilities and Duties
Team player who: ​
x-rays
anesthetic monitoring
surgical assisting
dental cleaning is a plus
training will be provided if needed
helping maintain the flow of patients
communicating with the veterinarian and vet techs
carrying out or setting up procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance
adhering to hospital standards that keep pets safe, and the treatment areas, exam rooms and labs clean and organized
Qualifications and Skills
Applicable licenses, certifications, degrees, diplomas, and at least 1 year of dental experience will qualify you for these positions
Experience with a "paperless" practice management software required
