Fast paced Pediatric Surgery Center seeking an experienced RN for PACU or PRE-OP.
This is a PRN or Part-time position, Monday through Friday, NO HOLIDAYS, WEEKENDS, or CALL required. Pay is from $30 to $39 and will depend on experience and qualifications.
Requirements:
- Current RN license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification (preferred or obtained within 1 yr.)
- 2 - 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in pediatrics.
- Must have a po! sitive attitude and be a team player.
- Demonstrate effect! ive use of communication skills. Respond to verbal and nonverbal communication and identify problems and report these to appropriate personnel.
- Demonstrate competence in professional practice.
- Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
- Physical and emotional health adequate for attendance requirements and performance, which may include, but is not limited to: assessment of patient conditions, lifting/transferring patients, appropriate use of technical equipment, and rapid recognition and response to emergency situations.
- Ability to communicate with others in a clear, understandable, and professional manner.
- Must be flexible and adaptable. Conditions and environment are unpredictable and change frequently.
- Possess knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients ranging in age from 1 to 12 years and provide care to patients consistent with the unit's Policy & Procedures Manual.
- Must be proficient at paperwork and necessary charting.
This position could become a full-time 4 day a week position in a fast growing Ambulatory Surgery Center. Please send resume.
