Position Summary & Responsibilities:
The RN is responsible for assessing the operative nursing care needs of patients, planning interventions and evaluat! ing outcomes of care. The RN is responsible for:
Prov! iding care (appropriate for age specific - pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics), the developmental and safety needs, the planned procedure, and the anesthetic agent used
Communicating and educating the patient and/or their family members and/or significant others regarding events pertinent to their care
Anticipating and planning for the needs of the surgical team
Coordinating the care provided in the operating room while maintaining an aseptic and safe environment
Qualifications
Current licensure as an RN.
Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider
Healthcare Provider ACLS and PALS preferred
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Bachelors Degree in Nursing required.
Minimun one year of experience in area of practice as an RN
Previous Peri-op experience preferred
