Billing SpecialistAt Smile Magic, we believe that every child deserves to have a magical experience, and we carry that belief in everything we do. We take special pride in designing a unique exp! erience at each of our dental practices, and we are looking for special people who want to help support our dental practices in this mission. The Billing Specialist will oversee the accurate processing of insurance claims, apply payments from insurers, follow up of denials / submission of appeals, and serve as a resource to the dental practices to help improve billing processes and accuracy. Specific job details include: *Achieve department goals for accurately processing insurance billing on previous day treatments both paper and electronic submissions*Thoroughly review accounts for major treatment requiring additional documentation*Provide great customer service to our dental practices and obtain information from them when it is needed to support a claim*Upload claims to vendor for electronic filling*Correct any rejected claims holding for electronic filling*Generate pre-authorizations for offices as needed*Re-submit claims for offices as needed*Review and generate claims! to DMO providersDesired Skills: *1 yr of Dental experience*Ex! perience in General Dentistry, Oral Surgery, Periodontics and Orthodontics*Ability to read EOBs and X-rays necessary*Familiarity with Medical Procedure Codes*Strong attention to detail and desire for documentation to be accurate*Functionality in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) *Advanced verbal and written communication skills *Possesses a track record for providing outstanding customer service; is capable of addressing and mitigating needs and concerns of multiple customers*Proven history of achieving results; sets goals and achieves them
