Azalea Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Clinic, P.A. is a 22 physicia! n orthopedic group in Tyler, Texas. We would like to add an orthopedist with fellowship training in spine surgery. Tyler is a regional medical center located in the rolling hills and forests of east Texas ninety miles east of Dallas. This community of 101,000 is surrounded by numerous smaller suburban and rural communities. Our service area population exceeds 750,000. Tyler has three acute care hospitals as well as a physician-owned specialty hospital for spine and joint surgery.
We currently have two fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeons. This market continues to grow as the area is attractive to retirees due to its mild climate, no state income tax, low cost of living, and advanced medical care. The need for spinal surgery will no doubt continue to grow. In addition, there is the potential for additional income through partnership in the surgical specialty hospital.
