- Responsible for review of medical bills for Work Compensation to ensure payment recommendation adhere to state fee schedule, customer and contracted PPO gu! idelines.
- Seeking a Team orientated individual who enjoys providing excellent customer service and enjoys paying attention to details.
- Confirm claimant and health care provider information
- Confirm diagnosis between medical bills and claims data
- Confirm and apply utilization review authorization/denial when applicable
- Utilize and interpret supporting documentation attached to medical billings
- Application of appropriate Fee Schedule and PPO Contracted reductions.
- Certification in Surgical Technology
- 2+ years’ experience in general surgery and implants
- Experience with Microsoft Windows & Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
- Strong detailed analytical and excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of CMS 1500 and UB Billing form types
- Understanding of CPT, ICD9,! HCPCS, REV Codes and NDC numbers is preferred
