Role Summary
Under the direction of a clinician provides general nursing care to patients. Attends to! the general healthcare and comfort of the patient. Observes and records treatment and patient progress and reports to supervisor patient's condition or reaction. Administers prescribed medications. Must be licensed or hold a temporary permit to practice. Must have completed a course in pharmacology. .
Responsibilities:
Prepares patient to be seen by provider by taking vitals (height, weight, pulse, blood pressure, etc.).
Assists provider with patient exams, minor surgeries, administering medications and injections.
Communication between provider and patient regarding reason for visit, symptoms, etc. Update documentation in medical chart.
Contact patients with lab results, follow-up appointments and referrals.
Clean, disinfect and autoclave instruments. Clean and organize exam room, maintaining adequate supplies.
Order medical charts through system and check for complete and accurate information.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Texas ! LPN license required.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
1-2 years front and back office experience preferred.
Electronic medical record experience preferred.
Phlebotomy experience.
Ability to multi-task
Self-starter
