- Associate's Degree Required
- BLS Healthcare Provider Required
- Must maintain current Texas State Registration
EXPERIENCE: None
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse or currently eligible for state board certification. BLS-Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network.
SPECIALITY REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS BY AREA:
ACLS - Post Anesthesia and GI Lab are required within 1 year of date of hire or transfer into unit. PALS - Post Anesthesia required within 1 year of date of hire or tranfer into unit.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have eye/hand/foot coordination, finger/fine dexterity and be able to handle/grip/squeeze. Must be capable of transferring-vertical/horizontal, lifting/carrying greater than 35 pounds with assistance and be able to push/pull, climb, stoop/bend, kneel, walk, crouch/squat, stand and reach.
SUMMARY: Under minimal supervision, provides professional nursing care for pat! ients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric, within the nur! se's competencies following established standards and practices. Supports the mission statement, policies and procedures of the Baptist Health System.
