To provide and coordinate all tasks associated with patient services including but not limited to p! atient scheduling (student assignments) through completion of comprehensive treatment plan. Serves as the link between patients and the clinic.

To provide administrative support of the Post-Doctoral Oral Surgery Clinic located in SOD. Works with the Oral Surgery Post Doctoral Program Director, with input from the Director of Clinical Education for Pre-doctoral clinical cases by providing complex administrative duties. Also interacts regularly with ancillary departments such as Radiology and Urgent Care Clinics. Serves as a patient navigator for concurrent care treatment (multi-specialty DDS) within the SOD.
Organizational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three years related experience which includes healthcare and administrative support.
Departmental Requirements/Preferences
Advanced! organizational and communication skills, written, verbal and ! professional speaking, Electronic Health Records, knowledge of dental procedures and dental terminology, advanced administrative skills, logical and mathematical aptitude, analytical skills, effective time management, problem solving, customer service orientation, ability to tolerate stressful situations, reliable, initiative and innovation with work, advanced knowledge of patient privacy regulations such as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH) and student privacy regulations contained in Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), advanced Health Information Management skills, including data base query skills, and complete Microsoft Office aptitude with and emphasis on Excel, revenue cycle management, advanced awareness of Current Dental Terminology (CDT) coding, basic knowledge of applicable laws and rules of TSBDE, moderate knowledge of Dental Insurance. Bi-l! ingual Spanish speaking a plus but not a requirement.
