Coordinates, supervises, and accountable for direct patient care in the operating room. Performs perioperative assessment of patie! nts immediately prior to surgery as indicated to include : chart review, verification of surgical site, completion of physician orders, operative consent, patient allergies, and assumes responsibility as circulator on assigned cases or as a surgical scrub nurse while maintaining patient safety through surveillance of all practices in operating suite.
Surgical Suites / Operating Room
The Operating Rooms are contained with a 14-room
suite on the 2nd floor of the North and South
Tower of Park Plaza Hospital.
The Operating Rooms provide services for
inpatients, outpatients, and same day surgery
patients, predominately adults, but with some
pediatrics. The average census is 600 cases
per month. Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing as Registered Nurse. Must have active RN TX License and BLS from AHA Healthcare Provider. Must have (2) years current experience in surgery in an acute! care hospital setting.
