Woodbury Technologies has an excellent opportunity for a Teleradiology and Imaging Server Administrator at Fort Sam Houston San Antonio Texas We offer a great salary and benefit package including the following 10 paid federal holidays 3 weeks of additional paid time off Medical Dental Vision Life and Disability Insurances Cafeteria Plan 401K Plan with Company Match Description of Duties Provides server setup configuration maintenance and administrator support for MEDWEB Telerad and Siemens PACS Archive or other image Servers to include installing and maintaining all Network connectivity clients for workstations requiring CT MR or other image access Determine impact on PACS configuration and make changes necessary to allow a seamless electronic teleradiology workflow Work with other military treatment facility (MTF) PACS system administrators to make required system changes to allow electronic movement of radiology exam data Validate and document configuration of installed PACS teleradiology workflow and network connectivity to ensure interruptions to ongoing operations are minimized Manages back and recovering for all image information Provides Departmental and Institutional Support for Image Storage and Processing Provides computer administration for integrating image databases as related t the combat casualty care mission in both clinical and research environments Facilitates the gathering and sharing of relevant knowledge expertise and image information with clinical and research groups within the Institute of Surgical Research (ISR) Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) the TraumaCritical Burn Service the Army PACS program Wilford Hall Air Force Medical Center (WHMC) Combat Support Hospitals (CSHs) and private sector development and research facilities (as appropriate) Coordinates arranges shipmentreturn and manages property of any physical media for teleradiology and image exchange Develops and documents a method to upload and reconcile all studies retrieved from the physical media into the image storage server Researches individual studies against existing clinical databases and registries and programmatically or manually updates DICOM metadata in the image storage servers with corrected or updated patient demographic data Provides Image System Query and Mining Support Complex image queries and extracts are coordinated with the researchers and data extractorsminers providing image data sets and studies from local image servers or from the worldwide image repository All other duties as assigned by the CIO Required Qualifications (must have) BS degree in Computer Science or comparable experience Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to positively interact with both technical and businessoriented team members A solid understanding skills and familiarity of database technologies utilizing Oracle 10g Oracle 10g AS the Oracle 10g tool sets Visual Basic MS Access Microsoft SQL SQL Loader SQL Query Oracle Discoverer Portals and Oracle InterMedia Interbase MYSQL or other major RDBMSs and data mapping processes Must be familiar with database organization and design table structures and data schema logical and physical design reports and forms development naming conventions and other issues related to systems planning and data migration An understanding of standard DoD systems and system architecture including CHCS the CliniComp Clinical Information System (CIS) Essentris COLLECTOR Trauma Registry System Joint Theater Trauma Registry (JTTR) System and other systems unique to the Department of Defense medical healthcare system Brooke Army Medical Center and the Institute of Surgical Research (ISR) Abilities in the areas of clinical laboratory and automation in a variety of settings that may include the hospital ward clinic laboratory surgery suites andor other settings in which data are either collected or presented and integration to Oracle database architectures Working knowledge and experience with database information security and integrity including applying security patches verifying and managing storage maintaining database accounts and performing database backups and recovery in case of problems Expertise with complex queries for database structures in the researchmedical community and data extractorsminers utilizing PLSQL Java Powerbuilder Oracle Discoverer and other query tools to provide complex datasets for medicalclinical research analysis Experience with using Microsoft applications Outlook PowerPoint Excel and Access Oracle Data bases and webbased applications Web languages XML Java Perl C++ Candidate must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance We are an Equal Opportunity Employer
