We are looking to hire a dynamic and highly skilled Paralegal to join our Legal Affairs & Compliance Department. The right incumbent will support all members of the Department as well as internal stakeholders in areas of Corporate Governance, Local and International Legal Operations. The role will provide effective legal and administrative support, commit to high levels of legal service and has the ability to effectively interact and build strong relationships with all levels within the organization. The position is based in Athens and reports directly to the Legal Affairs & Compliance Executive Director.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Maintains department’s files, archives, and records both in digital and paper version and ensures their timely tax registration
  • Ensures the efficient collection of supporting documents for competitions and audits, preparation of solemn declarations, etc.
  • Communicates with public authorities (including Gemi, ACCI) for the timely and accurate publication of administrative certificates and/or documentation
  • Coordinates law office activity, including processing of legal invoices, payment orders and arrangement of meetings with external stakeholders
  • Overviews of BoD/GM resolutions in Sunlight Group; drafts and submits Company’s and its affiliates BoD Minutes, collection of approvals
  • Keeps law library up to date by monitoring legal volumes
  • Acts as a liaison to relevant internal stakeholders on legal representation inquires
  • Provides translation of corporate documents (e.g certificates, resolutions, private PoAs etc.)
  • Monitors the annual budget of the department and tracks Department’s expenses and fees
  • Provides any kind of administrative support for the Company and its affiliates
  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or equivalent field; BSc in Law would be considered as an asset
  • 3 to 5 years of working experience as a Paralegal in Legal in-house environment or Law Firm
  • Excellent command of English, both in written and verbal is a mandatory requirement; additional languages (eg. German, Italian, Spanish) is a plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels within the organization
  • Familiarity with SAP will be considered as a plus
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with proficiency in MS Office
  • Discretion in handling confidential matters
  • Excellent judgment and ability to anticipate legal issues or risks
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
