Position Summary :
Performs functions decontaminating, cleaning, assembling, sterilizing and distributing sterile items. Must identify all instruments used. Follows all aspects of aseptic technique and blood! and body fluids precautions. Ensures that instruments, scopes are properly processed to minimize turnaround time by working in close harmony with O.R. / Endoscopy.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to follow oral and written directions
Must read, write and speak English fluently
Accuracy and attention to detail
Knowledge of aseptic technique or on the job training within three months of employment as demonstrated by competency
Preferred: 3 years as an Instrumentation Tech/One year experience in instrument processing
Competent skills reflected in keyboard usage, Microsoft Office
