Position Summary:
Assists in providing care to patients in the O.R. Acts as a scrub person safely handling instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedure! s. Knowledgeable about the procedure being performed. Able to anticipate the needs of the surgeon. Has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality care in accordance with established nursing service standards of practice.
Qualifications
Position Qualifications:
Minimum Education Prefer graduate of accredited school of Surgical Technology or equivalent.
Minimum Experience: Six months recent scrub experience required. Minimum 1 year hospital O.R. experience preferred.
Required Certification: BLS, Prefer Certified Scrub Technologist
Skills: The Scrub Tech must be able to prioritize work and duties well and must work well under stressful situations. They have to demonstrate good communication and customer service skills with a variety of patients, physicians, and other health care providers both internal and external to the organization, and must make accurate clinical decisions and judgments! quickly.
