Associate is responsible for the oversight, preventive maintenance and provision resolution for assigned flexible scopes, cameras, rigid/semi rigid s! copes, hand-pieces, core attachments and other assigned items used in the Endoscopy, Surgery, Surgery Center, satellite and other assigned departments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Strong sense of customer service.
- Demonstrates effective and positive interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Daily operational experience in a hospital environment.
- Ability to effectively work with staff in a fully operational clinical environment
- Good driving record with no prior moving violations in the past three years.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Ability to plan and communicate technical information processes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Handle administrative responsibilities.
- In a timely manner originate, receive and complete ! daily maintenance actions on tasked equipment.
- High S! chool Diploma and/or GED required.
- Certified Surgical Technician, Biomedical Engineering Certificate or equivalent degree/diploma/certification or experience in an allied health or fitness-related field (preferred).
- Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to core values & standard in performance of duties.
- Document current policies and procedures in the Biomedical Department as well as implement, with approval, new procedures for improvement.
- Maintain and establish control of equipment to guidelines during shipping/receiving of equipment.
- Work collaboratively with department staff to ensure appropriate/efficient recovery/replacement of equipment.
- Demonstrates technical expertise with ability to troubleshoot malfunctions and to implement the steps needed to resolve.
- Demonstrates knowledge and adheres to principles of sterile technique applicable to the surgical setting when necessa! ry.
- Order, store, and distribute supplies.
- Responsible for scheduling (via the end-user department supervisors and TriMedx site manager) the recurring education and in-servicing of assigned departmental staff and new hires.
- Responsible for participating in a fair and equitable call schedule as needed.
- Facilitate all on and off-site storage, inventory, and record management requests.
- Oversee the use of a company vehicle when needed, according to established policy and procedure.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, striving to expand personal growth in the assigned duties.
- Complete other duties as assigned while demonstrating a positive attitude.
- Track the procedures, costs, and savings associated with area of responsibility.
