To assist director, supervisor in the organization and daily function of the peri-operative area in accordance with established federal, state, and accreditation standards, regulations and Center policies and pr! ocedures. To assist the Charge Nurse in overseeing patient care activities in the peri-operative area. To maintain a high standard of safety for the patient and staff members. Patient liaison for care rendered. Monitor stock levels, outdated supplies and equipment needs and report to Material Management Coordinator or Director. Serve as a role model and leader for technicians and orderlies.
Qualifications:
Basics:
RN required education
3 years RN experience in the peri-operative setting
RN, CPR, (ACLS or willing to obtain)
Basic computer skills
Clear communication skills
Minimum 8 shifts per month,4 shifts per year before or after clinic holidays, 2 shifts related to summer holidays and 2 shifts related to winter holidays
Preferences:
BSN preferred
Ambulatory Surgery Center setting
Specialty certified : AORN
