Pay Rate:! $16.50-$18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday

Healthcare Reimbursement Job Description
Follow-up with commercial and managed care healthcare insurance and verify claim status
Research healthcare accounts for medical payment denial status
Correct medical claims and file appeals as necessary
Assign accurate medical payment methodologies from contract matrix, carve out grids, and/or managed care contracts as needed.
Assure correct and accurate medical reimbursement is calculated.
V! alidate that assigned ICD-CPT-4/HCPCS codes for outpatient acc! ounts are appropriate in relation to service area and revenue code.
Resubmit medical claims with appropriate medical documentation
Follow - up with the insurance company in attempt to collect medical payments due
Healthcare Reimbursement Specialist Job Requirements
2 years experience as a medical reimbursement specialist, healthcare insurance collector, patient account representative or medical collector
2 years experience working in a hospital setting
Strong understanding of insurance terms, payer reimbursement methodology, and contract language including bu tnot limited to HMO, PPO, exclusions, case rates, percent of charges and Fee Schedules.
Working knowledge and understanding of Medicare (DRG, OPPS, APC, RBRVs) and Medicaid (APG, FFS, PAS)
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Strong understanding of pricing methodologies for supplies, orthotics, prosthetics, and implantable devices.
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Commercia! l payer healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
Comprehensive understanding of medical contract reimbursement terms.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Skilled in identifying medical billing discrepancies and healthcare trends.
Ability to self manage and prioritize work assignments.
Experience collecting money from commercial insurance
