Qualifications
Position summary:
Acts as the facility safety officer and is responsible for the coordination and supervision of compliance activities for the Environment of Care standards.
No direct patient care functions are provided by this position.
The employee performs additional tasks/activities as assigned.
This position will required some nights, weekends, and holiday hours and time on-call to be worked as needed.
Provides leadership and consultative services to departments and services to departments and servic! es within the organization in achieving regulatory/accreditati! on compliance.
Licensure/certification/registration:
Current Texas Drivers License.
Experience required:
At least 3 years experience in similar position at an acute healthcare facility.
Special skills & Qualifications:
Required basic understanding and ability necessary to:

Exercise judgment within the guidelines of medical plan of care, department policy and licensure practice acts.
§
Apply regulatory standards to design and re-design of processes
§
Apply principles of data managements
§
Facilitate problem-solving process and conflict resolution
Apply all standards required by JCAHO, TDH, CARF, Environment of Care and other regulatory agencies.
