The operating room technician shall be responsible for assisting surgeons and nursing in preparation and performance of surgical procedures and processing and furnishing sterile and non-st! erile supplies, equipment and service for the care and treatment of the patients. The Surgical Technologist assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Assures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Monitors PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
Position Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or G.E. D. Required
Completion of an accredited educational program for surgical technologists required
Experience:
One Year Experience Strongly Desired
Job: Inpatient Surgical Services
Organization: Hill Regional Hospital
Employee Status: PRN
Shift: Day Shift - with rotation if needed
