Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to work as the Administrator of the Surgery Center that is licen! sed or in the immediate process, and qualifies, of obtaining RN licensure in this respective state to work in the specialty area of the Surgical Unit.
The Administrator is responsible for the daily operation of the Center. In conjunction with the Medical Director, shall construct and implement, following Board approval, all policies and procedures pertaining to the operation of the Center. The Administrator and the Medical Director will also market the Center using resources provided by the corporate office and the hospitals in overlap markets.
The Administrator in conjunction with the Medical Director shall ensure that the Center complies with the requirements of any governmental or regulatory body having jurisdiction in the premises or use of the Center, to meet such quality standards as set forth by the selected accrediting agency, and assist the Medical Staff to ensure that medical practices and procedures meet such standards. The Administrator shall use availab! le resources to adequately maintain the physical property and ! equipment of the Center to assure good working order and conditions. In conjunction with the Medical Director, the Administrator is responsible for achieving the objectives of the Center, establishing administrative policies with the Medical Executive Committee of the Medical Staff, developing personnel policies, coordination activities within the Center with Department Heads, and assuring that the operations of the Center meet with high standard of health care in accordance with the policies adapted by the Center and the resources available.
Requirements include:
Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor?s degree required.
Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or willing to obtain licensure in another state, assuming that all pre-requisites have been satisfied.
Current CPR certification.
Current BLS and ACLS card.
3 years minimum Management experience, a health care background and managed care co! ntracting experience is desired.
Must have experience in budgeting and personnel management and evidence of continuing education that is directly related to the job specification.Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for development of strategic and tactical plans to maximize the effectiveness of Cardiovascular and pulmonary services.
Continue to develop product line and expand the business.
Assesses patient needs, signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition
Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
Documents the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment.
Initiates and e! valuates patient and/or family education.
Revises and documents the! plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions.
Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
