University Medical Center of El Paso is area’s only not-for-profit, community-owned, full service acute care hospital and healthcare system and a regional referral center for patients in need of specialty care. Unlike the other hospitals in this area, University Medical Center of El Paso is owned by the people of El Paso. Our Trauma Center is the only Level 1 trauma facility within a 250-mile radius of El Paso. That means University Medical Center of El Paso is the only hospital in the region to meet the stringent requirements established by the state of Texas and the American College of Surgeons for U.S. trauma centers. We are currently seeking an LPTA who will provide physical therapy services as indicated in the plan of care developed by the physical therapist, in accordance with individual patient needs, physician orders, department policies and procedures, and standards of practice. Assists in patient assessment and implements treatment programs designed by the Therapist.
