This town is home to Tarleton State University-an affiliate of Texas A&M University. This facility serves as a clinical site for Nursing and Allied Health student programs.

EDUCATION
- Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing; BSN required, MSN preferred.
- 3 - 5 years nursing management experience.
- Competency in clinical nursing, scrub; circulate; OR experience required.
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse; certification in nursing administration or clinical specialty preferred.
- Proactive problem solving; good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; basic computer skills; time management.
1. Plan, organize, and delegate activities as required for safe, efficient, and effective operation of the unit including active participation with other hospital and leadership staff to accomplish this purpose.
2. Provide resources and guidance to support the utilization of evidence based practice standards.
3. Identify and utilize processes and resources that support optimal delivery of data and information to staff.

We are seeking to hire a Director of Nursing-Surgical Services. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Our client facility has 6 OR suites, including the C-section OR in OB at the hospital. At the Outpatient Surgery Center (OSC), there are 2 ORs and an Endoscopy room.
There are 31 employees, FT, PT, & PRN--covering the Hospital & OSC for OPDS/PACU (surgery nurses, & techs, plus sterile supply techs)
Director takes call for admin nursing Director on call. The on-call schedule has been divided amongst the 3 current directors. The OR Director can expect to share this duty with 3 other nursing administrator directors.
The OR Director should be able to work as a circulator and scrub. Often times, the Director relieves staff for scheduled breaks, and adds a room for one case at 7:30 a.m. The director usually does not work the OPDS/PACU side, but transports patients for the nurses if they have another patient coming from the OR to be recovered. The Director is also active with sterile supply and Materials management.
