Ancillary Support Technician

Assists Physicians and other members of the surgical team by holding retractors during all surgical procedures
Transports patients to and from surgery
Assists with positioning patient during procedures
Orders and Stocks surgical supplies and equipment according to Physician’s preference cards
Orders and Stocks sterile and non-sterile and pharmacy supplies and ensures proper inventory
Inventory and restock supplies in PODs, Sterile Lockers, Central Supply, ORs, etc.
Opens sterile and intraoperative supplies for ! procedures under the direct supervision of Clinical Nurse Staf! f
Pulls instruments and supplies for upcoming cases
Retrieves specialty equipment and supplies as needed
Assists with medical emergencies following established procedures and guidelines
May perform other duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications High School Diploma or GED is Required Previous Ancillary Support Tech experience strongly preferred. Previous experience in hospital/healthcare is strongly preferred Current BLS
