Surgery Scheduler/Surgery Charge Coordinator

Description: Nix Health is at the momment seeking for Surgery Scheduler/Surgery Charge Coordinator right now, this career will be placed in Texas. More details about this career opportunity kindly read the description below. Experience with answering phones and accurately schedules patients in to OR system. Accurately enters patient surgery information into scheduling system including surgical times, surgery resources, patient supplies, post op data and implant log infomation resulting in the correct posting of patient's surgery charges. Reconciles patient schedule and posted charges on a daily basis. Corrects any errors within one business day. Reviews charge error reports on a daily basis and makes corrections within one business day. Assists the OR w! ith clerical duties, including compeltion of electronic patien! t test requisitions, printing and updating surgery schedule, and other tasks that may be requested. Answers intercom and telephone for surgeons, and staff. Uses daily OR schedule to complete surgery board. Will be available as back up staff to assist with any other necessary duties that may be requested. Answers intercom and telephone for surgeons, and staff. Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Satisfactory completion of competency exams / skills.
Current Certificiation in Basic Life Support.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis in Excel.
