The primary purpose of the Senior Research Assistant is to plan, execute and perform experiments that require knowledge of molecular biology, cell-based assays and tissue culture techniques. The Incumbent is also responsible for conducting mouse experimentation and other laboratory management functions.
1. Planning, execution and analysis of experiments.
2. Perform animal rounding reports, tail or toe biopsies and genotyping.
3. Perform euthanasia of mice, collect tissues for fixation or DNA/RNA isolation.
4. Perform b! iochemical and molecular biological experiments.
5. P! erform animal surgery, subQ and orthotopic injections of cell lines and tumors.
6. Performs other duties as required.
Job Description - Requirements
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in one of the natural sciences or related field.
Preferred: Master or PhD degree in one of the natural sciences or related field.
Experience
Required: Three years of experience in scientific or experimental research work.
Preferred: With preferred degree, one year of experience in scientific or experimental research work.
